The entertainment industry was one of the hardest-hit by COVID-19. Coming out of lock down is going be a slow struggle for everyone. Showbiz HIRE was created to help everyone market themselves in ALL Departments and Mediums of the Entertainment Industry! Showbiz people are among the most versatile and multi-talented group of people there is. We all have a specialty but most of us have a range of marketable skills!So, how about making money from ALL of our skills and not just the ones we are best known for?
Showbiz HIRE was created to make it easier to find more work, polish our skills and develop new ones too! Let’s shed the confines of the boxes people put us into and learn while we earn … making us all better professionals!
When creating your ad, you should:
State your primary Medium
State your Specialty: in front or behind the camera, on stage, backstage, in the shop or in the office.
List other positions you are qualified to perform, e.g. I am a Lighting Designer, but I can also do Carpentry, Grant writing, Production Management etc.
List Industries you’re interested in e.g. I’m in Theatre but would love to get into Corporate Shows etc.
Tell everyone what areas you wish to move into and to seek training in, e.g. I work in admin but would love to try scenic art etc.
Choose what type of gig you are seeking: Daily, show call, full time etc.
Tell everyone, what tools and equipment you own, what training you have, how much experience you have, include a resume and tell us about yourself.
